Crediting three major composers, a colourful, surprising symphonic show by the Orchestre de Picardie that proves sweetly crazy.

Here is Haydn’s little crazy idea to open his second to last splendid symphony with a mysterious and little frightening timpani solo ! At the peak of his art, the composer was able to master the most daring effect… Also an expert in “mastered” craziness, Prokoviev will present through his second violin concerto a demonstration full of zest, poetry, virtuosity and lyricism. Played as overture, Schumann’s Overture, Scherzo and Finale were composed little after the composer’s wedding. It tells the passionate, joyful and spring atmosphere enlivening this funny symphony devoid of any slow movement.
