Now deceased, Raimund Hoghe has left his mark on the world of contemporary dance. As Pina Bausch’s ex partner, he has handed down a work full of beauty, fragility, truth and humanity. Simple Things presents fragments of unpublished letters, made more lively than ever. 

Performed by Ornella Balestra and Takashi Ueno and developed by his sidekicks Emmanuel Eggermont and Luca Giacomo Schulte, Simple Things draws its team’s body memory to sublimate Raimund Hoghe’s repertoire. On stage, the duo composed of his loyal dancers livens up with his sources of inspirations : texts, music and visual arts. An utmost poetic dance definitely looking towards life and the future.
