Seven years after her previous album and a few experiences in literature and the performing arts, la “Femme Chocolat” is back on stage. Her new songs, enriched with maturity are a call to the freedom to be one’s true self and be proud of one’s roots. 

Renowned French pop singer since the 2000’s, Olivia Ruiz has been able to live another artistic life parallely to her musical career. Three shows with choreographer Jean-Claude Gallotta and two novels infused with the story of her Spanish grandparents who escaped Francoism. The latter experience echoes in La Réplique – a new album both warm and electro, pervaded with today’s concerns : violence to women, exile, the environment.
