Mythology, images, hearsay, stories… Humanity has never stopped representing its deepest fears. They connect us to mysterious and uncontrollable forces. In his show, plastic artist and choreographer Marcos Simões renders the creative power spawned by the feeling of endangerment.

Fears are ancestral. They both shape our eyes on the world and our behaviour. Reality like fiction is pervaded with them. How do they affect social and individual bodies ? Our way of dancing ? Our visual landscapes ? Starting from images, texts, videos and art objects, Marcos Simões develops his “ objects of fear” spawning new forms too. Through them our relation to others, play, survival, strangeness, animality, spirituality…
