Silvia Gribaudi takes an interest in the most virtuoso impressive step in classical ballet, exalted by ten amazing dancers filled with their differences. A play in which the idea of “grand final” becomes a metaphor of our relation to death and rebirth.
The “grand jeté” is a step consisting in jumping in the air while performing a split. A suspended moment, like an attempt to escape gravity and touch the sky. Silvia Gribaudi questions the symbolic meaning of this amazing step in everyday life, turning it into a symbolic possibility to stand against irreversible death. A choreographic play questioning the way we face and overcome failure.
