Every child once dreamt cartoon characters would come to life and escape from the white page. Choreographer Sylvain Giroud and plastic artist Françoise Piétrovich bring this dream to life.

On a big screen, strange creatures are projected. Here a bright red Fox, there a bird with a rabbit body. All of a sudden a leg, an arm, a toe come out of the screen, bringing on stage these virtual monsters’ bodies. This is the second time that plastic artist Françoise Pétrovich, famous for her wash drawings, has been working together with choreographer and director of the Ballet du Nord Sylvain Giroud. Des Chimères dans la tête is a show made of flesh and movement, freely inspired by mental images in a child’s whimsical mind.
