Guy Cassiers
As a former student in graphic arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Antwerp), Guy Cassiers still desires to create strong images, associating video, projected lyrics and live music with dramatic, literary and poetic texts. His research also implies the desire to share the creative process with a great Flemish stage in Belgium, the Toneelhuis in Antwerp. Strongly committed, Guy Cassier’s theatrical work shows a great interest in European history. His collaboration with the European creative Hub has resulted since 2013 in supporting the French premieres of Bienveillantes (2016), Borderline (2017), La petite fille de Monsieur Linh (2018) and Antigone à Molenbeek (2022). It has also resulted in producing and promoting a new generation of Flemish theatrical artists showed for the first time in France at the Phénix, like FC Bergman (2013) or Lisaboa Houbrechts (2019).
