Supported by Simone de Beauvoir with whom she had an intense relationship, Violette Leduc finished her novel and yet, for a long time she remained scarred by the obstacles to her first love. More than a story about an out of the ordinary relation, it screens the feminine condition through struggles, fragility and its manifold passions. Marie Fortuit renders its powerful eroticism, emphasised by sound landscapes and musical oneirism.
