Political lesbianism finds an echo in the Middle Ages with the Beguines, a secular religious group composed with independent women. Bryana Fritz digs up this legacy through a show starting from the annihilation of the body to drastic love. 

In 1310, Marguerite Porete a Béguine from Valenciennes was burnt alive by the Church for writing a book on drastic love as spiritual principle. Seven centuries later, Bryana Fritz, Stefa Govaart & Chloe Chignell explore on stage the seven circles of love as described in the Mirror of Simple Souls. Each one of them is put to music by each composer. Wearing medieval inspired embroidered costumes, performers experience the dissolution of the female body through dancing till resurrection.
