To conclude a cycle dedicated to Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, the international ONL’s conductor Alexandre Bloch will perform the Romantic Symphony n°7.

As a Debussy enthusiast and a militant for the liberation of Finland, Jean Sibelius is a major character in modern music. He composed his 7th symphony in great pain, his hands shaking with alcoholism. Alexandre Bloch pays a tribute to Sibelius by performing this score in one movement. Another tribute will be paid to Beethoven, as Swiss pianist Francesco Piemontesi will perform his Piano Concerto n°5.
